Thule Polish Freeskiing Open 2015 driven by MINI joins AFP World Tour

The 12th edition of the PFO is coming closer and since there is only 4 weeks left, we have some fresh news for all the riders who would like to take part in the competition.

For the 6th year in a row Thule Polish Freeskiing Open driven by MINI will be one of the AFP World Tour stops. Exciting news for this season is that event got upgraded to SILVER status, so all the riders hungry for AFP ranking points should move trip to Poland to the top of their list. Skiers from Poland will also compete for the Polish Champion title.

It has been also confirmed that prizes worth around 15000 euro founded by Thule, MINI, Rexona, The North Face, Armada Skis, GoPro and Red Bull Mobile are waiting for the best riders in the big air, rails and Night Session. That includes 5000 euro in cash and 10000 euro in goods. As always organizers prepared some awards for the best trick, best performance and in other special categories.

Up to date the best snowpark for the competition will be build in cooperation with Kotelnica resort and Supersnow. Main shaper - Tomek Zwolak - who lives and works in Tahoe CA, is planning to build smooth „california style” kickers - approx. 17 meters flat plus smaller 13 meters flat for girls and rookies. Next to the jumps there will be long and creative jib line with 5-6 features.

Last but not least you have to remember about unique vibe that Polish Freeskiing Open is known for! The event got it’s roots deep in freeskiing history, as the first edition was run in February 2004, and since then we’re working hard to welcome our guests with famous polish hospitality!
